It's a girl!!!!!

Announcing, Aislee Manara Gonda. We are having a girl!!

We had to wait almost 2 hours to get this shot, but the doctor said "that's about as clear as it gets" that it's a girl. We decided to keep her modest, and just show that there are no boy parts protruding there. It took so long, because she wasn't working with us at first. Her knees were tightly closed, and we couldn't get a clear look, so the doctor left to take care of another patient while we jiggled and laughed trying to get her to wake up and move. The wait was worth it though, and now we know and are excited to have a little girl.
Here is Aislee's profile, she has her hand to her cheek there.
Already, Aislee's a happy baby, and is smiling for her mommy. Even the doctor was surprised to see the smile.
This is her hand, but she is half clenching it. Earlier she had one finger extended and the rest closed in a full fist like she was poking the ultrasound thing that was poking her.
A very healthy spinal cord.

Finally, something that looks like a baby!

While this ultrasound was being done, the baby was moving it's arm around. As well as everything else. It was the first time we saw the baby move!

We were very excited and relieved to see the baby had 5 fingers on each hand. These are a little darker because Mark packed away the originals and we can't find them, so we had to scan a photocopy we had created for Niccole's mom right after the ultrasounds were taken.

Mark's Birthday Present

Here are two of our next ultrasounds that we had on Mark's Birthday. The fun of this trip was being able to hear the baby's heartbeat. The picture on the right above has a visual representation of the heartbeat.

First Ultrasound

This is our first ultrasound, showing a baby that is only 1.18cm long, and looks like a little seahorse or shrimp. The head is on the bottom, with it's 'tail' going toward the top.
